PACING

We are so excited to partner with BEAST Pacing to provide pacing for the Full and Half Marathon!

What's a pacer?

A pacer is a designated runner who runs a specific pace to help guide you to a time goal throughout the race. If you stay with the pacer who's running that given time, you will be on track to meet your goal!

Our pacers will be in the corrals at the start of the race with signs designating the time they'll be running.

Full Marathon Pacing Groups

3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, 5:30

Half Marathon Pacing Groups

Half Marathon: 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:40

We will also have Pace Bands!

Pace bands will help you stay on track whether or not you choose to run with a pace group. Stop by the Packet Pick Up Tent at the Expo to grab a customized Boulderthon Pacing Band! This will provide recommended mile splits determined by the Boulderthon course to help you achieve your specific time goal!

Full Marathon Pace Bands

3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 5:00 and 5:30

Half Marathon Pace Bands

1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, and 2:40

More about BEAST Pacing

BEAST Pacing provides pacers for events all over the United States. Their pacers are professional, but have FUN while helping other runners reach their goals.

Whether it is a Boston Qualifying Time you are looking for, a P.R., or just someone to run with, Beast is there to help! Their pacers are chosen for their ability to successfully lead a group while keeping them motivated all the way to the finish. Pacers are assigned to Full Marathon times 20 minutes slower than they typically run (Half Marathon times 10 minutes slower) and are required to finish the race within 1 minute of goal time, but never over.
